It’s the only high functioning SPED self-contained program in the county. it serves students who have emotional disabilities, behavior disorders, high functioning autism (who exhibit more sever behaviors) and other health impairments. The students receive small group instruction (including AAP for those who need it) art therapy, music therapy, social skills instruction and supports to work on their behaviors and emotional needs while gaining the grade level academic skills. Only 7 Elementary schools in the entire county have CSS programs. [/quote]
