Why do you care what another nation does?  There is nothing you can do to stop other countries from hosting.

DP and yeah, I think LA would be a good host in a small group of rotating host cities for the summer Olympics.  I’m not sure Greece would want to host every four years unless the IOC ponied up most of the money.  [/quote]

All participating nations could contribute. Then some portion of the proceeds could be distributed to participating nations as well. Everybody wins. [/quote]
