Muslims use the Jesus stories in their religion but he is not the messiah or even the most important prophet. Christians have to deal with this. It’s not appropriation for Muslims to celebrate the stories in their holy book. Similarly, Passover is part of the Christian holy book—it is described in the Bible. It is not appropriation for Christians to celebrate those holidays. Nobody wanted to engage with the Islam example, but lots of people latched onto the Christmas tree analogy.
