BRYC 05 game was awesome, 1-2 loss but totally outpossessed FCV the whole game. And 06 tied 1-1, last minute FCV goal. But haters gonna hate!
BRYC did not out possess FCV. FCV missed on several chances in the first half. That game could have been 6-0 if it wasn’t their first game since November
Possession and shots on goal are different stats FCV parents. If anyone saw the 06 game it was a beautiful demonstration of possession soccer by BRYC. If your coaches are yelling play to feet as the FCV coaches were that is usually a sign that you are losing possession. Thanks coaches for setting up these friendlies.
You are correct that possession and SOG are different. FCV dominated both.
Doesn’t appear so. It was a tie game. Shots on goal means nothing. It’s the shots that actually make it in the goal that matter.
I think this post sums up the difference in ECNL and FCV. FCV only cares about the score, not how well the team possesses or how many opportunities or shots on goal the team has. FCV truly believes shots on goal mean nothing. That’s their culture. It’s not about player development. It is why FCV will never get ECNL.
