I have no dog in this fight —my kids dont play soccer but I feel horrible for the 07 playing 05. Way too many anonymous comments about a kid.
Watch a game, you’ll feel bad for the 05 teammates that are trying to showcase and mad at the HC and mom for making this a situation.
I’m sure the 05 parents have their opinions and that’s fine. I’m the no dog in this fight poster but I’m sensitive to this because I actually came upon these threads once and my kid’s situation was being discussed. My heart just fell to the floor. All these people you think are your friends week in and week out, and then they spout off anonymously on some message board saying terrible things about the kids. Its too pointed, people should speak in general terms.
When you create an obvious situation that doesn't really work around you and your kid, expect an experience. Glad coaches used common sense. We get to sit back an watch the show.
the jealous parents need to press on and stop bitchin about play ups, most parents have no issue if the kid is good enough and adds strength to a team Don’t come whining on an anony forum- instead have a conversation with the director or leave the club! Plain and simple
You have to understand their frustration and jealousy. When a player is 2 years younger and is more technically sound and talented than their DD which leads to her getting more playing time, the only left for them to do is getting on a anonymous forum to whine, complain, bash the club, etc.
Did you just post two comments as if you’re two different people?
If you want the kid to play at age the solution is to bring in players who are better. Airing out dirty laundry online is a poor way of marketing the one current Metro team with promise. There are certainly parents who will want to leave, and that is fine but do it quietly. And I say that to anyone regarding their club. Not every club is a fit for every player. Not every situation is ideal. If you or other parents stay then just accept it for what it is. If your kid isn't getting playing time then find a team where your kid will play. There are always 7 kids who don't start the reason doesn't really matter. If you're DD is not starting over a 3 year play-up then there are likely other issues beyond "politics". That doesn't mean politics do not play a role but the kid is only taking one of 11 possible positions on the field. If you are a starter, suck it up. If you are a bench player, well bench players should always be looking to both improve and improve their situation regardless of club or team.
If parents would quit overselling that everyone loves it and it's all epic, then it wouldn't result in others having to be more honest. I don't want people to feel tricked. It's a terrible feeling.
