The founding guys absolutely envisioned a crazy tyrannical guy leading the country - they were very familiar with that type.  Maybe they couldn't envision the internet as the way he got to power, but they did write in protections for exactly this situation.  What they *absolutely* didn't envision was one of the three branches of government completely abdicating their responsibility to stand as a check and balance.[/quote]
