You think making the situation affirmatively worse is better than maintaining the status quo for one more year? I don't think you understand the dynamics here. Vihstadt is willing to do far more for schools than de Ferranti, and [b]he's opposed to further expansion of AH [/b]while de Ferranti supports its expansion. If we vote out Vihstadt in favor of de Ferranti, the message we will send to the CB is that voters want AH and don't want more money going to schools.

Dorsey and Cristol (both of whom are hostile to school funding) are both up for reelection in 2019. That's the year to make our statement. Not this year.[/quote]

2) While I agree in general that people should be prepared to back up their assertions with support, there are also some things that shouldn't be considered controversial or questionable to anyone who is paying attention. Would you demand proof from someone who said there's a FARMS disparity between North and South Arlington schools? That there are five members on the APS School Board? At what point do people have a responsibility to minimally educate themselves on issues rather than demanding everyone else take the time to educate themselves and then spoonfeed that information to people who can't be bothered?[/quote]
