Nope. There are 1000s of DCPS and charter parents with children thriving. We will fight tooth and nail to ensure that ALL schools in DC are high quality. That  will mean new DC laws imposing equal oversight on private schools, along with strict private school licensing requirements. [/quote]

Then why aren't you fighting for that now? The current voucher program in DC makes NO requirements on the private schools that use the vouchers. And so many of the schools are truly awful. Data on the schools is not publically available. Some don't have working bathrooms.

That sure as heck isn't DCPS that cares about all students.  They don't provide safe environments and have lobbied against meaningful anti-bullying laws.  If you care about students in DC and actually live here with kids, you sure as heck would want a voucher to be in a real school where one can learn in a safe environment.
