This does not mean he can’t hire another lawyer once he is extradited to NY (which he is fighting but he will eventually be sent). The Altoona lawyer apparently has handled high profile cases (including death penalty ones) and is well regarded. This lawyer may have been assigned to him or he could have gone to him to offer his services or his parents may have hired him. [/quote]
