Is the argument that there are papers that aren’t the governments? Papers that really are his, not from his time in office. Just mixed in and disorganized?
Which illiustrates the utter disregard he showed towards government documents and particularly classified documents.
The judge said she does not believe the government can classify documents. Therefore all the documents are not classified per the judge.
Gee, wonder why the ABA would consider her "not qualified"? Only the best people, right MAGA?
I'm not defending her, but this is simply not true: https://ballotpedia.org/Aileen_Cannon I think it's also worth noting that she was confirmed on Nov. 12, 2020, 44 Republicans and 12 Democrats voted in favor, 23 of our vaunted Senators didn't even vote. Her appointment to the federal bench is a bi-partisan failure.
No it is a victory for conservatives and the federalist society. How many of these sleeper judges are there? What are their orders and how hi controls them? Why should the DOJ go along with this judge’s crazy rulings?
Yes, it's a victory for conservatives and the Federalist Society, but not one won on a 51-49 margin. IT WAS HANDED TO THEM. If you are in Virginia, both Warner and Kaine voted to confirm her. I'm planning to write to them and tell them that I object to the confirmation of any federal judge that professes an association with the Federalist Society. I would say I honestly don't understand why that has been tolerated, but in truth I probably understand it all too well. Also, we need federal judicial reform. Badly. Quickly. Now.
Needs to happen but current democrats have no interest in reforms.
