Oh they are planning on taking the Iranian oilfields and invading the Iranian side of the straights. There will be boots on the ground within a week. The mission will not be liberation but taking the oilfields. [/quote]

With what troops?  The US doesn't have the hundred thousand or more troops it would take to do this in the ME right now.  The best it could do is a few thousand from some rapid response units.  They could probably take an airport.  They cannot take entire oilfields or a coastline.  And even if they did take the coastline, drones can easily be fired from further away.  You don't need to be sitting on the beach to hit a ship.[/quote]
