If you had an August kid, you just have them do what you think is best. Getting September kids to be the oldest clearly is your motivation, just no other reason to make up stuff without backing where the evidence actual disagrees with you.[/quote]
Because you are wrong trying to sell Aug birthdays on playing down. Parents that do this are trading short term wins when their kid is young for long term development and college recruitment when their kid is older.

Also it pisses off parents on the grade down team. Because they all know you'll need to play with your grade when older and you're taking up a roster spot from some other kid that would be playing on the correct grade team.[/quote]By not addressing your motivation to stick it to August kids by forcing them to play up it makes it very clear that you need it. As a parent, I am not pissed off by kids playing by the rules, on age. I would be pissed at clubs enforcing unwritten rules randomly. But clubs are trying to get as many kids to play on age as they can do they aren't buying what you are selling.[/quote]
Clubs will do what top players and their parents want because this is what brings in other players and ultimately more money.

Top clubs don't get pushed around by a few mouthy parents otherwise they wouldn't be in business long. Kids are replaceable. Complaining parents are cut along with their kids asap.[/quote]
