I voted democrat on EVERY single ticket since Bush v. Gore, but I have not voted since painfully casting a vote for Hilary nor do I intend to ever again. I can't in good conscience vote for a party who comes to conclusions like, "Advanced programs racist because too many asians, so eliminate them" (I am white). Sorry, you lost me and I hope you lose others with your race baiting
And yet you’re perfectly fine with Donald’s position on race? OK cool. We know now not to give a flying F**k what you think.
Did I say I was okay with his position on race? lol. I never voted for him or any republican so they didn't lose my vote, genius
If you’re voting for Republicans - the party that made its platform “Donald Trump” (literally) - you’re ok w/ their position on race, moron
Do you also say that to the blacks, latinos, and asians who voted Youngkin?
Yes, I do. And if you think it’s impossible for a black person to vote for a candidate who will not act in the best interests of black people generally…you’re not quite understanding reality.
Wait, what positions on race are we talking about here? What are the Republican positions on Asians exactly?
Honest answer: republicans see Asians as a useful tool to dismantle affirmative action. That’s pretty much it.
No truer words have ever been written on DCUM. The sad part is they go along with it and think that Republicans actually care about them.
Actually, Asians see Republicans as the party that will protect them from the discrimination served up by the Dems these past few years.
I don't know. I think Asians are all over the map politically. Asians are hardly a monolith and their experiences immigrating to this country are very different. Also, they are also all over the map in terms of religion and how religious they are.
So are all POC. None of them are the monolithic groups that Democrats love to paint them as.
The only monolith, really, are the non-college educated, suburban white females. Dolts, the lot of them.
But hate has no home here, amirite?
I was the person who started this post thread and I just want to reiterate, at no point in my life have I ever voted for a Republican. It's just that from now on I also will never vote for a Democrat. Which, in America, means that I will not be voting for the remainder of my life. And that's fine with me. Whoever originally kept replying to me and accusing me of being a racist trump supporter has a low IQ.
Welcome to the club, OP. Keep voting though. The waves we’ve see for several cycles now aren’t colored blue or red. They are purple. I have been thinking of a new thread for quite some time. Maybe I’ll start it this evening.
