And, I have tried for years to find a way to move to Canada.  I am so tired of the US - the capitalistic selfish shit,[b] the military worship (excuse me - you volunteered!)[/b], the stupid anthem, the pledge of allegiance, and the "we are the greatest nation in the world" fiction.

That was my comment about Canada, and just to be clear - I am tired of the military worship because it is all about getting these kids to volunteer.  The pomp of the funerals, the slow stepping, the ribbons, the uniforms, the press.  It is a horrible job that is boring and violent and makes you kill people you don't even know so that they don't kill the people you are on patrol with.  There is nothing dignified or wonderful about it.
