I am the poster who asked the "chassis" question.  I did not mean it to be mean-spirited.  I was not making fun of the poster who misspelled chassis.  I am not the spelling police.  I'm not even a very good speller usually!

I was genuinely confused about "chaise."  I even went and Googled "car chaise" to figure out what was meant.  Then my DH clarified and told me it was probably "chassis."

I apologize if my question came across as, "pathetically full of themselves and think that they are smarter than the rest of the world."  I didn't meant to be a jerk or insulting.  I can assure you that my intention was genuine confusion.  I did not mean to call out someone's misspelling.  I'm sorry for the (mini) firestorm my question created.[/quote]

As the one who spelled it wrong, it wasn't your asking if that was what I meant that was offensive.
