This is exactly what students have told me when I've questioned why the cafeteria is so segregated.  I have a good friend from Uganda who's now a doctor; he shares the same sentiment.  .

Nigerian poster, are you planning on taking your family back to Nigeria or sending your kids to live with relatives when they are teens? I know other African immigrants who plan to do this because they want their kids to know their African roots and have similar values and not become too immersed in American culture and our values.[/quote]
