Former Orange team parent: Players on Orange are treated like second class citizens by Blue team players and parents, Cap Leadership and recruiting director. The program has a motto of "FAMILY." From our experience, that was for the Blue team only. Orange is an after thought. Maybe that is the case for all B teams, but it seemed particularly pronounced at Cap. Was so obvious and could have been easily addressed with some minimal gestures.
Current Blue parent here. There isn’t much social overlap between Blue and Orange because their tournament schedules rarely align, so the teams are not often in the same place at the same time. When they do overlap, you’ll see Blue players and parents watching Orange, and vice versa. The parents and players who know each other are obviously friendly. The only weird vibe I’ve noticed comes from a couple of parents from our pre-Capital team who still seem bitter that their daughters were not invited to be on Blue.
