"The only people that care about these schools are the students that went to them, the parents that paid for them, the grad schools that admit them in numbers far higher that typical for top Phd programs, the IB's who hire them in per capita numbers greater than half of the Ivies and everyone else, The top consulting companies who do the same, the law schools who admit them at rates for higher than most other top schools, the medical schools who admit a far higher percentage of their applicants than virtually anyone else, the R1 professors who send their kids to SLACs at significantly higher rates than would be expected, and possibly the R1 Distinguished Faculty who write articles for major magazines saying "Elite SLACs are the winners in today's education environment".
