MVC is just one issue.  If some schools have it, why shouldn’t all.  If it’s not important, remove it from all schools and don’t put kids on a math track that has it as a graduation requirement.  If ap science classes are not important, remove them from all schools.  If engineering, computer science, the arts, and humanities are not important, remove those from all schools.
