I mean, am I wrong for thinking white Americans jews consider themselves white? The white American jews I know are proud zionists and look white, act white, only really associate with wealthy people, preferably other wealthy white jewish people.They travel to Israel often have family in Israel, love Israel and display this fact by flying Israeli flags and supporting Israel signs everywhere. Which is fine. These are white people, are they not? [/quote]

This whole tangent of yours is irrelevant because we’re talking about Israel, not America, but for what it’s worth, it doesn’t really matter what Jews consider themselves to be. It matters what others consider them to be. And American Jews’ whiteness is very much conditional. They haven’t always been considered white in America. Right here in Montgomery County, in 1947, five families in the Bannockburn Heights filed a lawsuit to force Lucille Tushin, a Christian woman, to evict her husband, Aaron, because he was Jewish. The suit claimed irreparable damage caused by his occupancy in violation of the neighborhood’s restrictive covenant.

Jews are Schrödinger’s Whites: white or non-white depending on the politics of the observer. If you ask a neonazi, they will say Jews are not white. If you ask an antizionist, they will say Jews are definitely white.
