Does anyone know is there any chance to get off the waitlist from AOS with 273/300 test score and emerging across all categories. Thanks in advance
Depending on AOS/AET - they take the average of 3 sections FOR AET - It is avg of all sections except scientific thinking FOR AOS - It is avg of all sections except tech logic Test part is only 1/4 of the criteria..Below is criteria 1) 6,7 and 1st quarter of 8th grades 2) Essay part of the test 3) stem critical thinking part of the test On top of these - each school has a quota. This system is unfair to students from the top competitive MS in the county .
You made this up to fit your own desire of what is important. It isn’t true.
Above Post may be correct . Below is admissions criteria for Academies Website All applicants: Enrolled in Algebra I or above at the time of application Writing Assessment STEM Thinking Skills Assessment Final grade of C or above in math and science courses in grades 6 and 7, and semester I of grade 8
For AOS and AET, even though they started to mention the lower Algebra 1 minimum to apply to please the equity crazies, everyone admitted have atleast Geometry and many with Algebra 2. Even so, the AOS math is not easy, and struggling kids return to base school, although very few. AET math is manageable.
If any of the kids return to base school, Those positions will be offered to other waitlist kids?
