Let me be more specific since we have a smart guy here.

Would be ideal to have the best players in the DC/MD/VA area, within rational commuting distance for Capital, all try out and seek to play for Capital 2028s because that would create the best team.

I am not sure why anyone disputes this. Past, successful, capital teams have been made up of BLC, NL, YJ south and other off brand teams like cardinal and metro. Capital doesn’t have the resource of time to develop girls since they don’t have a middle school time. They rely on the top talent coming out and their strength is getting them to gel and perform in a short amount of time. The 2028 class is no different. They will be best if the girls from a commutable distance come to tryout this summer. This means girls leaving current Maryland teams to come back to Capital. With Capital’s solid recruiting track record and reputation, it isn’t a stretch for that to happen. [/quote]
