Bout's value wasn't quite what you think it is. He was set to be released in 2028/29. They (Russia) were going to get him back with giving up NOTHING in a few years. They have no motivation to give the US anyone of value in response. This was a perfectly reasonable deal in these circumstances, regardless of how much we may not like the fact Bout is free. He would be free anyway in a few years![/quote]
