Probably.   But we as a nation have not conducted sufficient medical research because it's illegal (significantly, at the federal level), so there are difficulties getting funding to conduct the research.  Additionally, since it has been illegal while alcohol has not, we also have decades of health information on both use and misuse.   It's going to take at least a generation before we get a more accurate picture of what cannabis does to people.  [/quote]
