Yes, crazy people wanting to kill large numbers of people will be stopped from killing so many people. And slowed down, so police aren't too scared to respond.

One guy with one pistol and a limited amount of ammo is not the threat we have right now. It's a crazy guy with enough ammo to shoot up a few classes of elementary school students and the ability to do so in record time and make the police fearful for their lives. [/quote]
