Andrew Yang is currently viral for defending Joe Rogan, thus dumping more gasoline on this into Monday morning. Andrew quickly deleted the supportive tweets, but he continues to get dragged.
Lol. The Rock withdrew his suport for Rogan, too.
Don't you think it's odd that The Rock was a fan of his previously, listened to his show, but had no idea he had ever used the N word? I have been listening for over a year and have honestly never heard him saying anything racist, let alone the N word. I've never even heard him really talk about race....? Like I've never even heard him refer to "things black people do" or anything like that. I get it that the clips are proof he said it, but you really have to dig for this stuff, and it's really not representative of the guy I listen to all the time.
This was two weeks ago. Who talks like this? [twitter]https://twitter.com/alexpattyy/status/1486108847412588553?s=21[/twitter]
I get it, it’s not something Terry Gross would say. But tell me what is racist about it. I don’t even know what they’re talking about based on this quote.
You can watch the video and not just read the quote.
Okay, I watched the video, and I honestly think it’s the opposite of racist haha. He’s talking about all the various shades of skin people can have and how it’s odd that we group it all into “black” and “white.” And he means that the only people who have truly black skin are the ones he described - which is true! It is totally inelegant and not something a sophisticated person would say, but it is truly not racist at all.
