O, they are not. We need boosters and those vaccinated are getting Covid. It reduces your symptoms should you get Covid. Masking helps stop Covid.
PP keeps providing vaccine misinformation, and I don't understand why. Here is what the vaccines do: 1. Greatly reduce your chance of getting infected by SARS-CoV-2 2. Greatly reduce your chance of transmitting, if you get infected 3. Greatly reduce your chance of getting seriously ill, if you get infected 4. Greatly reduce your chance of dying from covid, if you get infected All 4 things. And to say the vaccines don't work because we need boosters - that's just plain silly. I hope that PP doesn't forgo their regular tetanus booster.
Anti-vaxxers love to spread disinformation. Thanks for a good summary!
Most people are vaccinated so screaming about anti-vaxxers is silly. However, many people are still getting covid vaccinated. And, they don't know long term but the effictivness isn't what we were told long term. You get a booster. I did my part in doing two shots. I do my part by staying home, and when I do go out distance and mask.
Again, the rate of breakthrough infections in Maryland is 0.12%. https://health.maryland.gov/newsroom/Pages/Maryland-Department-of-Health-releases-COVID-19-post-vaccination-infections-data.aspx. Stop with the many vaccinated people are getting COVID. 0.12% is not a lot of people. It means that out 1000000 vaccinated 1200 got a breakthrough infection. That is not a ton of people. Stop just stop already. I have had to post this on every page of this thread. And you keep coming back with this asinine misinformation.
One breakthrough case in MCPS with no masks can cause an outbreak. You keep minimizing how serious covid is. Breakthrough cases can be just as serious. And, as time goes on there will be more breakthrough cases. So, you just stop already with your misinformation about vaccines and masking and stop putting our kids and their families health at risk.
Masks are likely gone by next school year, but Covid will not be. How do you plan to navigate this world going forward?
Fortunately if covid continues as it is, MCPS offers virtual.
Smith is gone. Even McKnight isn't going to keep virtual after seeing the performance numbers from last year. Get ready for homeschooling, followed by decades of your children being unable to thrive in the real world.
Last year virtual is very different than this year. Administrators have said it will be continued next year. Pay attention. My kids do fine in the real world and have tons of empathy unlike yours. They get Covid and get what it’s like losing a parent. Thankfully your probably never experienced half as much as mine have.
