I will note that his union (not a teachers union) has officially taken no position on vaccination, period, so as not to offend union members who are anti-vax (of which there are probably quite a few, unfortunately). So it's actually a big deal for ATF or any teachers organization to be not only strongly pro-vaccine, but for vaccine mandate, which can be controversial. I think it demonstrates that most teachers, and their unions, know that a fully vaccinated workforce will help protect them as much as it will help protect kids. Take it from someone whose spouse currently works in person with unvaccinated people (and whose work doesn't even have a mask mandate) -- no vaccinated person is excited about the idea of working every day around unvaccinated adults.[/quote]
