Ending wrapped too nicely for me. The gun was missing for a very brief time and the owner realized it just during those few hours? They should have just said the gun was missing bullets. The boy failed to have any real tears. Mare and her BFF now bond over each Losing a child. Very sad. The friend’s life is a disaster now. Poor thing.
no, the gun was missing longer I think. Lori put it back and Mare covered for her. Never explictily said.
It was said, described, and shown on screen. Do you always make stuff up?
I agree this is a huge leap and not supported by what we saw onscreen. But the gun thing is a bit confusing. The guy said he went to get it the night of the prowler, but it wasn't there? But that wasn't the same night as the murder, right? That was the very first scene I believe in the early morning that Mare went tot heir house, and we saw Erin alive through the course of that day. I think he also said that ever since his wife died things went missing, but that was before his wife died?
I think the timeline is getting me. I think the old guy noticed the gun missing days/weeks after the night in question then it showed up again. I don't believe that it was put it back that night. I don't think that would allow enough time for the cover up/rest of the narrative. They old guy did not call Mare over b/c the gun was missing, he needed to talk about the overall stuff going on with him with his wife dead, and the gun bit was an aside.
