And how’s that working for us? Oh, wait, it doesn’t. It simply doesn’t work because we have 40+% of population obese and a very sickly last generations. And to say that it’s because they’re all irresponsible slobs who made poor choices is basically avoiding responsibility as a country, as a system.
Yes, they are responsible. All of them. It’s working great for us. We feed our kids healthy meals , don’t overeat, and exercise regularly. It is completely doable to be healthy if you make it a priority. I can’t help those that don’t. But let that 40% wait for the government to make them healthier. That’ll work out just great for their health
Translation: Yes, I am rich and I am educated and had time to look into this. While paying for my nails and hair to be done between the gym and a walk with friends. I have money to buy healthy food, and time to get it ready of pay someone to get it done. Real life translation: I am rich, effe off.
Again, won't take responsibility because you think eating well is only for the rich. It's so easy to blame other people - rich, government, schools, other. It is on you. Period. And yes, I work a full time job. A busy one. I don't have time for hair or nails, or the gym. Why? Because I put other things - like making food for my family - first. So I don't have time for shopping, nails and other luxuries. But you can pretend, right? I come from a family that is flanked by morbid obesity - one side is Mex-American the other small town Midwest. Both are statistically more prone to obesity than many other groups in the US. I've had multiple cousins die of obesity related illnesses and it wasn't pretty. They died before their time and refused to do anything to make themselves healthier. And nearly all my cousins and extended family are the same. It is so damn sad. IF only they had taken personal responsibility and done something about it. So you can sit around and blame the government all you want. But in the interim if people don't take responsibility for themselves they will die. Period. Take your pick. Cake or death?
I am skinny too, my mom is obese. That doesn't mean I have to be an asshole. Like you are.
Dude, if you think asking people to take care of themselves is being an a-hole then you operate in a different reality. Life is hard and no one will take care of you. IF you sit around and wait for government coddling, you'll be SOL. I take care of my family and expect people to do the same for theirs. This is how we solve obesity. Not by saying that "big is beautiful" or assuming that people cannot take care of themselves. It is not. It is heart disease, diabetes, increased rates of cancer, and watching people die young. After watching family die young, I will always reject that notion.
You are so indoctrinated in some "you are responsible, the pioneer spirit, the individualism" that you never stopped to think about it. This country was not built on individualism, that is a myth. It is so sad that instead of realizing that we elect officials that we expect to take care of us! bcs we elect them to do what is right? no? members of your family might not have died! This is how we solve poverty and obesity. By educating people. When you elect officials and they do what is right for big pharma and agro-industry, you elected someone that is working against your well-being! Some democracy, right? But, if that person did the job YOU elected them to do, they would improve education, with better education will come better nutrition, with health and education which so many are denied, not don't want it, they are denied it, they will demand accountability from conglomerates, and demand their government regulates the food industry. Instead, you are just as stupid as those that you claim are obese and don't want to take care of themselves! Think about the deception you are a willing participant in! You are in favor of the system that kills your family members! Now, if that is not the height of stupidity, I don't know what is!
1. I'm not the poster to whom you are responding, but I agree with that poster. 2. You are a terrible writer. I feel kind of bad for you. 3. Google Dunning-Kruger effect.
LOL! I am a terrible writer? What did you bold here exactly?
