Trump chose to ignore all the expertise at his disposal. All of it. For example:

Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine has been advising President Trump and top officials that a military campaign against Iran could carry significant risks, in particular the possibility of becoming entangled in a prolonged conflict, according to two sources with knowledge of those internal discussions.

Trump should resign for his failure as commander in chief. Withdraw US troops. Stop canceling wind and solar projects. Ask the UN to fix his mess.

It’s still very bad globally but at least someone with clean hands can try and patch things up. Trump has failed and shown himself unfit to continue as POTUS. [/quote]
