'this is so important! You've always been so great with content. I hope you'll share some of the decisions that went into monetizing your impact and how you transitioned from information & influence to creating sustainable income to increase your influence and sustainability. Such an important part of your success."
This was Brandon’s comment on Jen’s “content” me course post. 👆🏻
Of COURSE Brandon is thrilled that she learned to monetize: putting her hair in a ponytail, cooking breakfast, throwing games at walls, and basically everyday living activities...SOMEONE has to support the kids...and what income is he bringing in? They have FIVE kids...he'd be crazy to rail on her for supporting 6/7 of the members of their family. He's certainly not.
And you know this how? I think only Ben and Remy were still minors when the divorce happened and thus any child support would have been for them only (unless otherwise agreed upon by them, their attorney and the judge). Or, per a divorce settlement agreed to by both B and Jen, they split/gave up different assets, income streams, requirements, and agreed on Jen pays for food, B pays for school clothes. Jen keeps the house, B pays for college tuition. Jen pays for everyday incidentals, they both chip in on things like cars. Just saying no one knows who is and how much anyone is paying and what arrangements and agreements were made. B pays $ and Jen gets to claim all of them as deductions on her income tax. I don’t care either way, but legally there are so many ins and outs, and they had to agree on it with a judges approval.
Obviously I don't *know* anything for a fact. But from what I read, Jen is shilling big time and monetizing stuff...even Brandon said so. From what I read, and listened to on the podcast, Brandon has been sort of checked out of life for the last 5 years and not pastoring, and not really had a full time job. No full time job=no money. I don't care about the legality of it...someone has to pay for kids even if they aren't minors. And that someone seems to be Jen given she is making money. From all I can gather it looks like she's been busy making money the past 5 years and he was busy self-destructing.
And that was my point. You don’t *know* but you stated it as fact. That’s all. And this is not Jen or Tyler or a fan girl. Jen lost me years ago, and I forgotten all about her till I found DCUM and stumbled on this thread. And it sucked me right in.
well...pretty much 99.9% of this thread that has 'sucked you right in' is theory and speculation. Since I'm neither Jen nor Brandon nothing I is fact...but if it helps you, yes, those were my opinions I stated. I was not their divorce lawyer or judge. IMO Jen is making the money and has been for years. Therefore it makes sense that Brandon is supportive of her shilling. Kids need shoes...momma needs levis...
