It peaked around 2017, affects from Covid are still lingering in youth lacrosse participation, and the evolution/affects of year-round club lacrosse are still a big factor.  I don't think it will get any worse than what others have pointed out the past few years, but I think this is what we can expect from public school lacrosse in the Nova, PW, Loudoun areas moving forward. The best youth players, will be pulled away from rec lacrosse in elementary school, the best middle school kids will have opportunities at the private schools, and when the average HS Team loses them it has a big impact, as the next man up is a step-down in talent.  The programs with solid coaching, and a commitment to the off-season will still be the top 20 schools in our area, with a surprise team from year to year making a run.[/quote]
