He was respectful of their privacy by not speaking too much about them individually.  He did, however, talk about some of the redemptive conversations he's had while working on his relationship with his kids; that's clearly important to him.  And it sounds like those relationships are improving, but it wasn't clear if that's with some of the kids but not the others.

Sydney's name came up in the context of a question from the host who asked if his and Jen's stance on LGBTQ changed as a result of being the parent of a gay child or if it had changed before she came out.  (FWIW, he said their beliefs evolved before she came out.) His conviction in support of the LGBTQ community was strong.  He also mentioned that out of respect to Sydney  he didn't want to make the conversation about her, which I think was appropriate.  In general he did a good job sharing his past without violating the privacy of Jen or the kids; he avoided getting into specifics that should be their stories to share.  [/quote]

It might now be earth shattering to you, but it means something to other people, including parents adapting to the sexuality of their own children.
