In addition to a civil lawsuit, criminal actions should be explored. How this horrific looking contraption could have been open for public use is beyond me.
The guy who designed it is a high school dropout. He dropped out of school at age 24 and he's the 'inventor', the 'creative mind'. Great idea. http://grantland.com/features/the-wet-stuff-verruckt-waterslide-schlitterbahn/
So what. He is an engineer. Other pretty impressive people never finished high school or college. What a dumb thing to point out.
who?
Yes, please do tell us of one impressive person who didn't finish HS. Also, did he have a PE license? Did he hold an engineering degree? He would be a builder if not.
Builder is a good example. I know some that have dropped out of school and they do a fine job. However, that's why you have a system where you get electrical, plumbing, and structural, inspections on projects. The work has to pass otherwise they have to fix it . The building code regulations are very detailed and standardized. Otherwise gosh knows what would be built. Even plumbers and electricians who are masters in their trade have had to pass rigorous courses, tests and very specific the job training.
