Taylor's lyrics have never named actual people (at least that I recall).  She has said that the Mean song was directed at harsh critics and unfair criticism.

I think it's fair to say that her songs are inspired by relationships and her own experiences.  But if you think about it that is the case with most artists and most songs.

I don't think that she has ever tried to destroy another person through her music.  She isn't like that.  But she is a writer and she writes about what she knows.  And right now she's going through the ups and downs of dating, romantic distress, etc.  They all do that.
