After I received the decision I requested the file to make sure there wasn't a disconnect between what I saw and what the teacher saw in our son. It turns out his GBRS score was 12, which is probably where I would place him as well. If it had been 6, I planned to request a conference with the teacher - not to accuse them of anything but to try to understand why my son was not exhibiting the behaviors I see at home when at school (e.g., anxiety) and to see if there was a way I could support his education better. Try to think in terms of understanding and moving forward. [/quote]
