If the study is done right, they don't lie. If 50% of AA males in DC have or will commit a crime v what...25% of white males, I feel justified to fear being victim of crime by an AA male more than a white male. I feel 0 fear of being robbed by an alien. I also have 0 fear of being robbed by my AA pediatrician. This is rational behavior. If you don't like the numbers, work to change them. Same story for educational achievements: people don't like the achievement gap stats so they say we have to look at the individual; sure we have to do that on a personal basis, but when discussing policy you can't look at individuals, you look at the aggregate numbers.[/quote]
