Affirmative action is not hire UNQUALIFIED people, it is a requirement to cast a wider net.
Funny how when that happens people just ASSUME that people of color just are not as smart

Honestly while it's supposed to work that way in practice it doesn't, at least in my experience. For example,  if you look at Affirmative Action in college admittances it clearly benefits less qualified people on paper.  Whether they're unqualified and whether having a broader range of opinions/viewpoints/experiences in a college environment outweighs demonstrably lower qualitative accomplishments is open to debate.

I will say that I have seen the "white males hire other white males" thing happen as well, but it's dying out IMO as some of the older managers retire.[/quote]
