HHH Committed Games was amazing for the 2025/2026 committs this year. My player had a blast meeting and playing with her future teammates. They all went to dinner, hung out and I got to know many of the parents. So as a commit with your team it was really fantastic. I can see if you were a 2027 and you didn’t get put on a school that you had any interest in or could see yourself playing that your experience would be very different or not as exciting/fun.
. Plus, it’s really not a recruiting event. It’s a committed event and the recruiting class of the year is lucky to get an invite to play with the committed players, but this is not a premier recruiting event. It is a committed players event. So going into it with the right mindset and understanding the goal of the event helps with your expectations. Also, all these coaches have their list by now so if you’re not on their list of tier 1 players they want then you need to cast a super wide net and keep pounding the pavement at schools that are a fit. Coaches want to win so they’re recruiting the best player to help them WIN. only 3% of all lacrosse players graduating will go on to play D1 lacrosse.
Were there coaches watching the 2027 showcase the day before? Trying to decide if worth it for my 2028 next year. How did 2027’s indicate they were interested in a team?
. It is definitely worth it if your 2028 gets on a the team they really want and is a good fit! That is when this event is invaluable for recruiting. Just know it is a gamble— you don’t know what school is going to pick you. Hopefully, your player emailed coaches telling them they would be there hoping to play with the team. Also, hoping recruiting coordinator was reaching out to the school that is attending and letting them know your player will be there too. Then HOPE/PRAY the school feels the same way about your player and wants them just as much so they get picked. It’s an honor to get picked by any D1 school and be able to play as a recruit at this event, but if you’re not going into it with that expectation, then this may not be an event for your player to attend. You have no control over what school selects you —the school/organizer decides who they want and the host HHH committs gets their players on teams first.
