I live down the street from the Polo Fields in SD. Surf has done a good job smoothing over the locals + making things work. Rancho Santa Fe (where the polo fields reside) is full of super mega nimbys that hate everything. Getting any kind of expansion or lighting approved is near impossible. You think Surf Cup Sports is making a killing charging for parking (they are). But, it could all end tomorrow if they piss off the wrong rich guy. Also a lot of the money they take in goes right back into "marketing" costs in the city. Love it or hate it the Polo Fields are one of the premier places to play youth soccer in the nation.[/quote]
