Elon Musk Should Face Conflict-Of-Interest Rules For Trump DOGE Work, Elizabeth Warren Argues Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., demanded information on if Elon Musk’s governmental work will be subject to conflict-of-interest rules, as President-elect Donald Trump has so far rebuffed concerns that Musk’s work with Trump could benefit the Tesla CEO’s own companies. https://www.forbes.com/sites/alisondurkee/2024/12/17/elon-musk-should-face-conflict-of-interest-rules-for-trump-doge-work-elizabeth-warren-argues/
What kind of wackjob take is it to try and blame Liz Warren for $200 billion in covid related fraud? Those PPP and EIDL covid programs that fraudsters benefited from were architected and built under Trump's administration.
That "Babe" at the end made me want to throw up. Anyway, programs created from scratch in a time of crisis are of course vulnerable to fraud. How much cash was thrown around in the Afghan war and Iraq invasion--meaning literal cash, with little or no accounting? It has been estimated that 25% of money for contractors was misspent between waste and fraud. Looking at the actual numbers spend on PPP and unemployment for Covid, that $200B is a smaller percentage than mismanagement of those contractor funds.
