This is OP and in retrospect, perhaps we should have done things differently. My OB sent in a prescription for him alongside mine and he took the meds. We both got tested after we finished our meds course and both tested negative. I suppose he should've tested first to confirm because now one of his storylines is that he never had it.
This is illegal for your OB to do, so I hope you’re a troll.
What is illegal??
NP. Prescribing to someone who's not your patient, presumably. OP, my ex-H gave me trich and also said all the same things your H is saying. But of course he was lying, which came out later. I'm sorry.
If that's what PP meant, then PP is completely wrong. Partner treatment is standard of care. Here is the CDC on "expedited partner treatment" for gonorrhea and chlamydia. It has become standard treatment for all treatable STIs:
https://www.cdc.gov/std/ept/default.htm Expedited Partner Therapy Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT) is the clinical practice of treating the sex partners of patients diagnosed with chlamydia or gonorrhea by providing prescriptions or medications to the patient to take to his/her partner without the health care provider first examining the partner.
