Perhaps it's a metaphor?[/quote] Perhaps you missed it. Apparently UMD is in the "Top Ten" for some football league or whatever. It's the best "academic" one, another poster added excitedly. No, I don't know what that means either. I continue to think it's a lovely school... with serious issues. Like putting its freshmen in night school. Like not accepting some of Maryland's top students. Like having its fanbase include a lot of people who don't see why their kids should ever leave Maryland, even for five seconds. The crime and the traffic don't bother me nearly as much--any big school has stuff like that. [/quote]
