I don’t know who stabbed CB, and I don’t know what part JR was supposed to play. But I think it’s clear that either the Au pair messed up 2x during the act - first by calling 911 too early, and then shooting JR. Likely something unexpected happened during the act and necessitated her shooting JR.

Once they call 911 (the second time), BB immediately recognizes that he needs to tell police he shot JR - not the Au pair. He needs to get the focus away from her as fast as possible. He doesn’t want to risk her squealing, and honestly from her social media post, it sounds like she’s pretty dumb. So he claims to have shot JR, and then lawyers up and won’t speak to police.

At this point, he knows that he has to keep the Au pair around so she won’t confess.  She still thinks it’s going to work out for them. BB claims keeping her as the Au pair is in the best interests of his child, but we now know that neither of them care about the poor kid at all. They stick together because they have to. Now that she’s been arrested, she’s going to flip on him - but it may take some time. [/quote]
