This says more about the Democratic Party than its rich voter base. It's because the Democratic Party has abandoned the economic issues that actually help poor people. They'd way rather virtue signal than actually require the wealthy to make any sacrifices.
Which Republican policies help the working class?
Me again. Any Republicans want to answer which of their economic policies help the working class?
Less government always favors the middle class. Too much regulation and redistributive policy damages the economy and the middle class because government misallocates funds far more poorly than the earner. What government does, it does poorly and wastes most of the money it spends. It can't be in all places knowing every decision individual consumers make and why they make those decisions. Therefore, it wastes money by dumping it on problems and starves consumers of better choices by mandates and subsidies. In short, central planning from ivory towers bring terrible results. Too bad Republicans have abandoned this fact... and Democrats never knew about it.
Are you equating the middle class with the working class?
