If a sleepover host parent drugs the kids and does stuff to them?  If the mom is the pervert or rapist?  You can  not trust parents either.

I have always protected my kids and other kids.  I have hosted playdates for the kids and hosted their moms for coffee.  I invited parents and sibling to birthday parties so that I did not have to supervise their kids. Sleepover parties were mostly half sleepovers and kids were picked up at midnight for the longest time until we got to know the family very well.

My kids were instructed to be careful while changing clothes for gym. They knew that they did not go to a teacher's room alone if they had a question. They had to take a friend along with them.
