I said that I and many others are "never Youngkins"...meaning Never would vote for him or his kind.  BUT I don't want all these religious days in the school year.   I'm still not voting for crazy christian nationalists.  But if you give me an independent  or establishment republican candidate for school board, I'm definitely going to consider it over Frisch or Omeish or others.[/quote]

 I'm asking because I just don't care.  My kids go to school, they are doing fine, if they stay home we enjoy those days too.  Is it just the religious part or is it any days off? I'm just confused why you are so heated up by this.

It sounds like you all are just angry and need to focus it.  Youngkin gave everyone the green light to focus pandemic anger on schools and here you all are doing just that, but on the calendar (?).

What disturbs me about this comment is how privileged it is. You assume that every family can easily take time off work to stay home with their child(ren) on these days. For many lower to middle-income families, that's not possible. It is a financial hardship to pay for care on those days. Or to take time off work (and not get paid) to stay home. The calendar once again shows that this school board doesn't care about lower income families. [/quote]
