All this Sturm und Drang over basically shifting ONE WEEK of a long summer break to a series of days off throughout the year. Opponents don't seem to care it's better for their kids learning outcomes, can you imagine the uproar if we tried to truly shorten the summer or move to year-round school?  No thanks.  But at least we got this one TINY step in right direction.[/quote]
