OMG CONGRATS!
Ha! As soon as I saw your post, I knew what it must mean. Indeed, congratulations to them! CLOY was a beautiful drama, but it's clear now why it had that X factor that made it so special.
Yes. Hard to be optimistic about a marriage between two actors (apparently he had a rep as a bit of a player) but would be lovely if it worked out. She’s 40, so I imagine they’ll try for kids asap.
I'm actually fairly optimistic for them. Back when CLOY first came out, I read a lot of interviews and articles about him, going back many years. He's really mature and thoughtful, as is she. There is a risk to their careers if this implodes, so they would have to be pretty confident. Both actors did CLOY because they were interested in working with the other after their brief work together in a previous movie, and they've dated for two years now, so they've had time to make sure their relationship is solid. Who knows? I love to see them start a family and be happy.
I hope it works out, too. My guess is her career will be moribund while she focuses on the marriage and possibly kids. Shame if that happens, since she's stronger actor imo. I'd love to be wrong about that.
